What are some activies/habits that can make you more intelligent if done frequently?

I guess some of them are:
>Chess
>Practicing an instrument
>Learning another language

Playing chess makes you a better chess player. If you wanna be better at math, practice math. If you wanna have a better memory, such as for studying, then practice the memorization of recall of information. Chess can be fun, but unless you’re good enough to make money or become famous, don’t get obsessed with it. There are much better ways to spend your time. Because even if playing chess slightly makes you smarter, there are no practical applications of chess in real life.

>doing certain things because people have a preconceived notion that they "make you smarter"
>not just doing things you enjoy and find interesting

can one be more pretentious? more attention seeking?

If you play chess frequently, it i'll probably affect some area of your brain that will make you take better and fast decisions.

I don't have any scientific study for that, but it's what I believe though, it certainly is better for your brain than wasting time on the internet or playing videogames or watching TV.

But I'm not telling anyone that I play chess or play an instrument, I don't have social medias and I only have very few friends. Unfortunately, though, I was born with a 110~120 IQ, so I try to focus on doing activities and creating habitis that will make me more intelligent so I can overcome this deficiency.

Doing new things and learning new things from time to time, helps to keep the brain young. For example learning different instruments. Reading books, trying different sports, travelling and maybe a job where you have many different tasks.
Fuck my punctuation.

How would regular physical activity and maintaining strong social connections make me more intelligent?

>> No.9876388

>make you more intelligent

Nothing makes you more intelligent. You can only clear your head through proper diet, exercise, and healthy social relationships then train in areas to develop your skills doing those specific things. Intelligence has a wall and you can't do more than what your were born with. You are either at the top of your game or you are below your top and can max yourself out with what you already have. But, you'll never go beyond it. If you had problems as a child due to improper parenting, your intelligence will be far less than what it would have become. You'll need to wait for genetic/invasive physical enhancements that work on adults before anyone can become more intelligent.

Doing things like that will not improve your intelligence in a useful way.
What field of study are you interested in?
Could you get a job in it?
Are you somewhat passionate about it?
If so, wouldn't it be more useful to train oneself in that, instead of some useless placebo?

>What field of study are you interested in?
I study mathematics.
>Could you get a job in it?
I don't care about jobs, only about achievements. I want to be remembered by future generations as someone great just like Gauss, Euler, Newton, Gödel etc.
>Are you somewhat passionate about it?
Yes.
>If so, wouldn't it be more useful to train oneself in that, instead of some useless placebo?
Sure, but it's undeniable that IQ is a huge factor in determining a person's success, and only studying mathematics won't raise my IQ in any meaningful way, but doing other activities alongside studying mathematics might help.

>> No.9876421

>>9876417
Your IQ is high enough to be a standard professional.
Sure, you mightn't do anything innovative, but at least you'll get to enjoy your field and make some money.
Just concentrate on building a career in mathematics, probably academic.
