No amount of surgery or HRT will turn a man into an attractive woman, nor turn a woman into an attractive man. The answer to this isn't changing people's standards of beauty because that shit doesn't fucking work like that. What people are attracted to depends largely on their own biology and experiences. You can't convince even half of men that someone like Caitlyn Jenner is attractive any more than you can convince people who hate brussel sprouts that brussel sprouts actually taste good, and your preference to not eat them is actually system sprout-phobia.

Maybe instead of encouraging people to mutilate themselves we should encourage them to accept the body they have now. Maybe suicide rates would be lower if we could find a way to keep people with gender dysphoria from feeling like they were born into the wrong body, without undergoing surgery or hormone replacement to give them the 'right' body... which still won't be the 'right' body, anyway.

Ultimately, IDGAF. I think people have a right to live their lives the way they want to and if people want to transition they absolutely can. I'll try to be respectful of that and judge them based on their character rather than their outward appearance. However, I can't help but feel that actually transitioning is neither healthy nor helpful for a transgender person.

Indian-Americans and Pakistani-Americans are generally fine dude. At most, the FOB-y ones are awkward and smelly, but the ones that grow up in Western countries are generally like any other person. As an Iranian I'm extremely satisfied with the hospitality of Canadian people, we don't even deserve this much kindness from them.
Despite the political turmoil that's going on between the west and Iran, they still host public traditional celebrations of our holidays and much more.
