Do you guys have any tips on staying disciplined and learning as efficiently as possible for your University exams?

I've just wrote up a plan on how to study for my three exams this semester (Analysis, Algorithms, and Linear Algebra). Two of them I can handle, the last one is kind of hard to me. I have 70 to 90 days to study. That sounds like a lot at first, but I was planing to study with the script, the recommended literature (chose the single best book for each one of them), re-read all the previous homework and its solutions (we still get homework for the next month and they are given points) and I will use old exams as exercise. With all that in mind it's not THAT much time.

I did keep up with the material so far and in fact we still have lectures right now but I already read the entire material and stopped going to the lectures. That means I'm done this semester.

I just want to ace the shit out of this, but my learning method is literally just grinding.

How do you learn efficiently and make the best out of your time? Not sure if grinding the material is the brainlet approach and turns out to be less efficient than something I haven't thought of before.

It takes discipline OP.

If you have 90 days you can learn a godamn language, but most people get distracted or just wont study at all

I know. I just want to hear your own strategies and tips on how to successfully achieve that. I had a learning session for Linear Algebra just today. Went around 4 hours.

For me to properly answer you, I must first ask a question. Do you have any of the things on this list?

>adderall
>caffeine (pills or coffee)
>multi or individual vitamin suppelemts
>a blender
>anti-depressants
>a copious supply of pornographic material

Working with the material is fine, just as long as you keep the practice diverse. Don't just grind away on problems, maybe try to figure out how to apply the concepts you're learning, or persue getting a more intuitive understanding of the material. I like to take long walks and just let whatever knowledge I've rescently obtained become "accessible to my imagination". It sounds a little gay but it's something that works well for me. I also heard that the Pomodoro technique combined with the spacing effect has been helpful for many people, but I've never tried it myself.

Regulation of possible anxiety/mood swings that may be caused by coffee and adderall. GABA also works.

That is the secret you dummy. Human brains only learn from repeatedly doing something. There is no magical pill. You just immerse yourself into math and use and think about it 12 hours per day and your brain will literally remold itself into a math super machine.

(But to be fair I've youtube and Khan academy have been my best resources on learning new concepts the first time. Not a reason to quit grinding. )

Hes right, except the porn part that is poison at least for me, because Im a(reformed) porn addict.
Stimulants and supllements is the way to stay concentrated for hours and be motivated. Just be careful not to overdo the caffeine. You have to cycle it in order to gain its maximum effects I always come off completely when the semester is over(but withdrawals are kind of hard depending on how much stuff you stack).
Do your research on nootropics.
