How will amphetamines allow me to take less coursework?

What kind of coursework requirements are we looking at here? Any TA duties?

Just looking for general advice. Not completely sure how grad school is normally structured, but what I do know is that my least favorite part about ubdergrad was drudging through busywork assignments and tests. I just want to do research with minimal amounts of classroom time, if that's possible.

There is more than one format for a master's program. Some are one year, some are two years. Some are explicitly called "coursework masters". Some you have to pay tuition for, some you are supported by the institution. Be aware of what kind of program you're going into.

Once you're in, you can try to place out of the courses with a test. If there is no official mechanism in place for this, go up to the instructor and ask. Of course, this only works if you already have a good grasp of the material.

Also keep in mind that this is a great time to take some courses outside your expected area of research specialization. At a minimum this keeps you from becoming a weird hermit-figure who only does things nobody around you understands.

Go into a PhD program and drop out halfway through.

You give it to your teachers.

it depends on the discipline too. a physics or chemistry masters will probably have a lot more coursework than a biology masters
