The planet is a giant doughnut. Prove me wrong; protip: you cannot.

Then where are the icecaps

so basically the question is: for a person living on the surface of a sphere, how you you prove you're not living on the surface of a doughnut?
this should be trivial to disprove for a veteran topologist

you could measure intrinsic curvature by drawing triangles (sphere has anywhere positive curvature, doughnuts do not.

also doughnuts have a whole in them, so you can create a loop that cannot be contracted in on itself.

>doughnuts have a whole in them
*hole
and see pic related, if those circles were ropes, they could not be gathered in. not sure how to create a positiv proof using that. you could disprove living on a sphere by finding a non-contractable loop, but not the other way around

Nothing we observe in our world shows any of the unique signs that would indicate a doughnut shape over proposed flat or globular shapes.

Therefore there is no reason to believe it is more valid than any other shape. On the other hand, there are observations that make more sense on a globular or flat Earth as opposed to a doughnut shaped Earth, which actually places the doughnut shape below the others in terms of likelihood.

Unless you're going to present some evidence that outweighs these observations, I think it is fair if we dismiss your claims.

What kind of donut?

I concede. You are correct that I can't prove this to you.

Just the same way you can't teach a mouse to read or write, I can't prove to morons that the world is actually flat.
