Most online IQ tests are bullshit, but not for the reasons you expect.

Those tests where you solve logic matrices? The ones with the shapes? Utter bullshit. Yes, logic puzzles are a component in many IQ tests, but they do not represent the entire test - actual IQ tests administered by psychologists test a variety of things, including verbal reasoning, arithmetic prowess, and the speed at which you can solve complex problems. Matrices test fluid intelligence, but not much else.

The most accurate test out of the ones OP listed is probably the European IQ test (http://sifter.org/iqtest/)), as it closely represents what a proctored IQ test would be like. I personally scored a 141 on it, which lines up quite nicely with the IQ I received when I took a similar test in middle school (135).

IQ is a crock of shit. The test is based on a subjective opinion about what constitutes "intelligence", as well as a subjective opinion about how it should be tested for.

Not only this, but the test is also created by people who have limited "intelligence". It is therefore already flawed as a test because it is logically impossible for the test to be an accurate representation of quantified "intelligence".

For example, you don't need maximum possible reflexes to create an accurate test of reflexes.

But to create an intelligence test, one must use their own limited "intelligence" to test for something they don't have the intelligence to actually "know". In fact, you could make the argument that IQ tests should only be created by the people with the highest IQs, because if IQ was actually valid, then only the highest IQs could create the most accurate tests.

I don't think it matters who creates the problems. In theory, you could create an IQ test as follows:

1. Random-generate bunch of test problems (+ the correct answer) using some computer algorithm. The algorithm doesn't need to have any idea which ones are hard and which ones are easy. Some problems may even be nonsensical from human perspective; the number of problems should be sufficiently large to account for this. (I.e. so that the impact of guessing in the test is negligible.)
2. Make sufficient amount of people complete the IQ test and gather important statistics along the way.
3. Now, if someone provides more correct answers than the average Joe, then they are smarter than average, and vice versa. Just pick your favorite standard deviation and you're ready to score test results.

Furthermore, consider these:
