Combinatorics in general is useful. But learning combinatorics without a full blown number theory course is like learning calculus without real analysis.

No, there are plenty of other fields to work in. If you don't enjoy it then just pass the course and find a nitch.

Never had a course in it, never understood how people manage to find answers so easily.
And I don't know where to find good study stuff about it
