Is it good? whenever it's mentioned here I see mixed opinions

It's extremely good for learning Science and Math up to high school/grade 12, as well as year 1 of college. Anyone seriously knocking that part of Khan Academy is just being a tryhard fedora lord.

Go and check for yourself. The early khan videos were good. Later with the other new instructors they had shit methods of teaching with poor explanations and often terrible logical jumps. If you are still of an age that ends in 'teen' they are definitely good. As i got older I grew tired of hearing Sal repeat the same word 5 times while using a childish abstract metaphor and had to watch the videos at 2x speed.

Honestly just youtube your desired topic and you are 100% certain to find a lecturer that clicks with you 5x as well. Not that great but its surely a good large collection of coverage on basic topics

I was a NEET for about 6 years and Khan Academy was handy for reviewing those things from high school that I forgotten and help connect some dots.

BUT, at least for me, nothing replaces a good book. So once I was comfortable again I went with books to get my foundations right.

>Let me tell you about my favorite videos on math.
>Khan.... let me just write that out here...Khan... I'll do this in Purple. Khan...Academy.... You know, let me write Academy in Green. Khan... Academy.
>And you know, let me give you an intuitive sense as to why Khan Academy is useful.
>*COUGH*
>Let me write out my reasons over here in red..
>No, you know, blue is better.
>One reason is that he makes it simple
>Let me tell you why it's simple
>*writes out simple very slowly* Simple... Simple... You know what, let me write this out with every letter having it's own color.
>Let me tell-
>Let me tell you why it's simple.
>**Sal wrote out simple in 6 different colors, he meant to do it in 7** dialogue box pops out
>And if you could donate to Khan Academy.. Let me spell that out for you.
>Khan.... This time I'll do it in pink...... Academy....
>If you could-
>If you could donate to Khan Academy, see I spelt it out here
>*circles the pink Khan Academy*
>If you could donate that'd be great.
>I hope you have an intuitive sense of why his videos are so great.

How is it when it comes to chemistry, biology, and physics? is it worth it to buy a book or does Khan offer the same level of learning?

Sums up exactly how I feel. I have no idea why he does his videos with little to no preparation and in one take.

kek this is pretty accurate. Also, I tend to avoid khan academy videos since I always end up having to skip half the video to get to anything meaningful like a harder example.
