That would be terrible. If you managed to convince me that this happens I'd probably unironically kms, because keeping to stay alive would mean more suffering and I'm more sensitive to suffering than positive feelings. The conscious positive experiences just wouldn't be worth it if it means I'll also be paying the price of painful hell time for them.

False. If you consider the person experiencing painful hell to be you, you did experience painful hell regardless of whether your next version remembers it. Just imagine yourself in that situation, it clearly is you there experiencing all the painful hell stuff even if your next version later forgets. Otherwise you haven't experienced anything you don't currently remember, like eating lunch on Friday. And that would mean you experience almost nothing, you keep dying as your memories fade away. Clearly memory access after the fact is not a very integral part to what you experience and don't.

With your "lunch" example, we have consciously experienced that regardless of whether or not we remember.
The first post sums it up. If you experienced it, you weren't unconscious. Your argument amounts to contradictory bullshit because unconsciousness is not a conscious experience and so what you suggest is completely paradoxical

Geez OP, I'm sorry, this happened 2 me too, once while sleeping & once while awake.
The thing is, you never forget. The thing that caused this is that situation. Sleep is an integration of memories & projected stimuli.

I'm guessing you are from 5-30somthing yrs. Let's say....you felt this in October of 2013 1st, not much has changed.

This is an ACTUAL phenomenon, whereever civilization hasn't been achieved, there is potential for this to happen. It can't happen from physical pain.

I've come up with various scenarios which can cause this (1 of which certainly happened to me):
1)someone says they will forcefully impregnate you or steal your sperm
2)someone says they are going to make you fight to the death
3)someone says they are going to destroy your sensory organs
4)someone says they will eat you alive
the only option we have is anarcho capitalism & justice. forget that those people who did this to you once had consciouness, forget. They, no matter what they feel-no matter how long they live-no matter what we do to them, whether it's eating them alive, using them as medical experiments, turning their matter and energy into tools, enslaving them physically, stealing the products that their mind once could have made, or simply killing them-they deserve it, although the best option is death of them.
