What would happen in trigonometry if in angles > 90º we used the red angle instead of the green one? Why don't we do that? Are we gay?

in pic related the red angle would be 130-90 = 40

in the first quadrant 50º would be 50º, but when moving to the second quadrant the coordinates for the point would be (r.sin, r.cos) instead of (r.cos,r.sin), since the leg opposite to the angle would be in the x axis instead of the y axis.

the point is you would have to say that you count the angle from the second quadrant brainlet, which is why it is better to just say 130

i'm counting from the second quadrant, but from the red angle instead of the green one, it's impossible to count a 130º angle in the first quadrant lmao.

Sure, because it doesn't makes sense to use angles > 90º in right triangles, my system is better for making the transformation of the angle in the 2nd, 3rd and fourth quadrant into the first quadrant.

For the second quadrant it is angle - 90º, for the third is angle - 180º and the fourth angle - 270º, boom it's translated into the first quadrant.

It's nice that you asked about period, in my system it would look like pic related. You can think for yourself and conclude it is superior.

well, its a trade off between arbitrarily "beautiful" graph and a superior well fundamented system.

yes
>what if we take that and make the information different that will surely make sense hurr
it's different because we are measuring them differently, with a better system that does the quadrant conversion easily.

3pi/4 - 2pi/4 (90º) = pi/4 = 45º
