This isn't advanced, this is "extension" according to my state. This is year 12 (17-18yo) maths. How far behind is my nations education. Bonus points if you can actually read the tiny print at the bottom and guess the state.

If it makes you feel better, that and beyond is offered in U.S. schools (mostly as gifted or AP programs), but very few of us actually get there. I'm sure everyone already knows that, though.

What matters is scientifical output not bullshit mathematics. A great example is France, which has ridiculously hard math but their universities fucking suck (compared to countries with similar economy). But again, most people here are fucking insecure puremath retards.

I'm Canadian and I initially went to University for pure mathematics.

After 1 year, which was super easy because they have to streamline people from bad schools. Even still, what I learned in high-school started to feel like a lie because of the way it was presented. Essentially they never tell you why or how these equations came to be or the underlying concepts behind them.

Anyways I guess what I’m saying is that high-school math is a joke everywhere, and non math-major university level courses are also a joke where you never really learn the truth.

I'm Canadian and the highest you can learn in HS (without AP or Enriched) is Calculus (only derivatives, no integrals) with some vectors stuff at the end. Makes me feel sad seeing what I could have been learning at the same age. Also what >>9645604 said.

I guess I can always self study though.

Ukrainian here.
We study 11 years at school so we graduate from HS at the age of 16-17.

This is more complex than most students have at their schools. Nonetheless, there are few math and physics heavy schools across the country where one studies Differential Equations and Calculus (probably up to Polar coordinates and iterated integrals) in High school (grades 10 and 11).
Despite this, the education is shitty even that these schools as it boils to solving countless problems, i.e. turning it into some routine process, students aren't given the insight they need to pursue Pure Math.

The situation is most likely alike in Russian, they have a bit more advanced programmes in both common and 'specialized' schools though.

Leaf here also, if your HS was anything like mine they had to make room for compound interest and investment because too many suburban women and muh education system should teach everyday skills mantra. The end of my calculus class literally stopped doing calculus and taught us how to calculate how much money you can make on RRSPs and GICs and shit. It was retarded because everyone went off about wow math really CAN do real things, meanwhile there would have been a fucking walkout if business class stopped at the end and started doing derivatives.

Tldr; parents can't be bothered to teach their kids shit anymore and high level hs courses are taking the hit for it, and not just in america

Not the case at russian 57. Though we do drills to internalize the computations, our classes are very theory-heavy and most of our homeworks are some kind of proof (usually we have to apply what we learned to solve a problem in number theory).
