Alright guys, I found out something pretty nice today. 2018 is looking pretty dank..
>go to my monthly psychologist appointment
>towards the end, she reminds me that she had told me last time she had done my IQ and that she would tell me my score this time
>go in expecting to be a complete moron because I struggle with maths, especially Calc II rn
>"well anon, I have your score.. what do you think it is?"
>"idk, I've done some online for fun and sometimes get 130 or 140, but I know those are fake, so I don't expect that kind of score"
>"yeah those are completely wrong"
>damn.jpg
>"alright so what is it?"
>"you scored pretty high.. the actual score is 185"
>literally what
>"1-185?"
>"yeah.. actually this concerns me. most people who score this high may or may not have some degree of autism.. have you ever been diagnosed with that?"
>"n-no.. I'm normal as far as I know.."
>"alright well next time you come in we'll be looking at your social skills and we'll be doing some tests for that"

idk how to feel about this anon's.. on one hand I don't feel like it's true and it's just a meme.. because I get completely distracted sometimes in class or at home when I try to study.. also struggling with math/sci..
She told me that it was a misconception that having a high IQ meant I'm automatically good at maths/sci.. that I still had to put in work obviously..
also sad that I might be unironically autistic..

have any of you dudes gone through something like this?

It wasn't an American one
alright so I'm going to tell you why I was going to the psych.
I was going because the shrink I went to here said I had a possible diagnosis for Anti Social Personality Disorder.
Me being the paranoid fuck that I am knew what that meant.. If I even scored high enough on the PCL-R, I would be put on a list

so I decided to take a trip down south of the border in case I did score high I wouldn't be registered
>inb4 shithole country
maybe politically, but medicine wise Mexico is very good and offer cheap services

long story short, I tested positive for psychopathy and she started running other tests on me. AT the same time, I tried to better control my impulses with stoic philosophy

and that's how I came to this.. she did a test on me for IQ purposes, I can't say which one exactly because I don't know their system..
but she gave me the score according to their system and also the American system, and that's what she said

I know some will automatically dismiss this just based on racial pseudo-superiority, and that's fine, but I'm telling you this is true

>>9605100
I understand what he says, I just don't really care for it.. all I need is his notes, plus youtube vids and practice problems and I can do just about all the problems..
when it comes to tests, I get anxiety and start spacing out to cope.. so I get a shit score sometimes, but I understand the concept if that makes sense

we did it twice on two separate occasions..
we did one last year and one this year..
so what she does is she gives me questions and I write them out on a paper under a certain time
some questions felt weird like she had me draw certain things, but most were just simple question and answer..
one test was administered on one session, then another.
then we tried it again this year and this was her conlusion

>>9605120
yes.. they are very intrusive
it's mostly the sexual ones and the anger ones that bug me the most.
usually what I try to do is just meditate, as Aurelius would put it, "into myself" and find my inner sanctum. or "float above all else, and I'll see everything is absurd"
that's usually how I control it, but they always linger in my mind.
lately the ones I give into are speeding at night, but I'm trying to control that one..
the thoughts come and go, but it's really pleasureful thinking of the anger ones.. idk if that makes sense

>>9605129
for me, it's the latter
we're usually divided into successful psychopaths and unsuccessful psychopaths. The former are people like CEO's, bankers, lawyers, etc. the latter are obvious criminals or murderers.
idk, I never had the feeling I was one until one time I just blew up after my ex cheated on me and I went to a psychologist. after a few sessions he told me I might have anti social tendencies.. and that's when I let him go and went to Mexico

Here's proof: No official IQ test scores as high as 185. So, it's an impossibility for you to have scored that high. There are some tests that try to score that high but they aren't very common..you know, because it's increasing rarer to find people that can max the score out the higher you go.

Also, a less concrete reason we can tell you're lying is that your verbal intelligence is not that great just based on the way you speak. There's a ~200 IQ guy that used to post on Reddit (officially scored with the Mega Test and he proved it). His name was TIGGER_WARNING or something like that. depends on the test famalam. what was it called? WAIS? Stanford-Binet? Raven's Progressive Matrices? Something else? The standard deviation is important; a score is meaningless without it.

it was hard for me because I went to highschool in georgia, where i never studied other than 5min before every test and quiz, and graduated top 10. Then I take cal one and the only studying I do is the graded homework for the class, which this proff made harder than exam questions. Then I get into calc 2 and theres no homework, I was never tought to practice and study on my own merit, and I barely survive with a B. calc 2 really seems like its going too fast for someone who didint take AP calc in highschool, I ended up programing the derivatives I couldnt remember into my TI-84 and now that dishonesty is starting to catch up with me.

Cheating just the smallest bit hurts you just as hard later on.

I have ADD, rarer version of ADHD officially called ADHD; inattentive type.
If i take an IQ test unmedicated I make 2 digit monkey scores, but with some speed I make Grad student scores. I think time management is key in these tests, you may be dumb as a brick but if you can think fast you can score well.
>>9605001 Is right, If you fuckers really are getting IQ scores higher than 150 the overall scores would be lowered again. The IQ test scores inflate over time so that the norm is always around 100.

>so are you saying people can have really low iq's and be good at stuff
they dont have to simply be good, they can be excellent https://youtu.be/Ak2jxmhCH1M
>or have a really high iq and be not much good at anything?
Thats a possiblity, but it doesnt matter to the conversation.

Aggrandizing is actually a lot more intuitive for romance language speakers.

Calc II was easy. It's just Calc I backwards :^)
Seriously though, almost half my Calc II class failed and I got an A without even showing up or studying.
I have no idea what my IQ is though.

it's possible that you got that score from taking lessons from Richard and Mortimer :^)

Seriously though, I don't get what the fuss is with calc II. If you paid attention and understand your calc I material, it's super easy. Same with diff eq, discrete math, and linear algebra. If you know your basics, none of it is actually hard, it's just applying the shit you already know in new ways.

I just wish people would explain LA like the 3b1b guy from YouTube did it. After watching that transformations just clicked, and went from raw memorization to just applying logic and geometry.

IQ isn't personality.

It's a set of cognitive capacities, taken together to estimate a "g" factor, a estimate of general intelligence.

People regularly confuse intelligence with knowledge, or particular personality traits. This is largely erroneous.

Intelligence is better conceived as raw potential, it indicates the relative speed at which you learn, and the complexity of problems you will be capable of computing.

Personality is better understood through the Big 5 Aspect scale.

It includes:

Openness to experience
- openness proper (creativity, interest in the arts)
- intellect (interest in ideas)

Extraversion
- enthusiasm
- assertiveness

Agreeableness
- politeness
- compassion

Neuroticism
- withdrawal (anxiety, self consciousness)
- volatility (sensitivity to negative emotion)

Conscientiousness
- industriousness
- orderliness

Each of the 10 aspects are distinct subcomponents which contribute to the big five personality traits.

Unlike intelligence, which is fixed (can only decrease), personality is mutable, although, the greater the change from baseline, the more significant the effort required.

Good luck with your 185 IQ, you have potential, which means responsibility, not to us, but to yourself, to strive to be the best fallible mortal you can be, and insodoing make your life, and the lives of those around you, the better for it.

I was too ill to do my CATS at the start of High School in England, so my school bright in a psychologist to give me a test instead.

I don't remember the details, but I remember the score because it was 123. I also remember being pretty disappointed when he told me it put me in the top 10% because 11 year old me thought far less people than that went to university.
