It's better to have felt something to then to not have. Use the feeling to motivate yourself, it's pretty much the most potent motivator so don't go overbroad. Just tune yourself into someone you think could be that and then when the next fish comes around you make your play. She's out of your league anyway, if she's a professor and your a sniveling crynon.

But having that feeling means you have a chance and if you dont exploit it, it will stop coming around
