My friend is studying kinesiology (to end up basically as a glorified physiotherapist), and his study program is almost the same as that of medicine students, there is like a 4 year overlap out of 5 years the career lasts.

So don't knock 'em down. It all depends on which university you went to. Kinesiologists know A LOT, as much as any other doctor.
