How long will it take for a brainlet like myself to recover from barely passing 8th grade math pre-algebra and catch up to do big stuff (((i.e AI:Aerospace:etc.)))

Are you implying you're 14 years old?

pls need a calculated answer. currently 24.

I'd be practicing mathematics about 2-3hrs/day attending class 2x week starting this summer.

also note that while not filthy rich my parents are pretty wealthy compounding at around 6-8%/year the way things look I might be able to buy myself another lifetime when the technology comes around in around 40-50 years so you could say my lifespan will probably be around 150-200 y/o or more depending on how fast and affordable this technology becomes.

As long as you let it take.
Depending on where you live, class/school is all about work ethic. As long as you have the will to keep going and put in effort. You'll get there.

I started with College Algebra and went through the series through Calculus IV (we were on the quarter system), Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. No way I would have been able to start at Calc I after having the five year break between high school and starting college. Perhaps it'll work for you too.

thank you. I just needed to hear real life examples for hope and faith.

I started reading my old 7th grade algebra textbook in a february. Took calc 1 and 2 over the summer (6 weeks each) and calc 3 and differential equations in the fall. I got all A's.

So it can be done pretty quickly.

But I dropped out and fucked up my life anyway so theres also that.

was my school just poor? They didn't let us keep those

10-20 years depending how brainlet you are

I actually found it in my sisters room. She went to a private school where they got to keep the books. We just happened to have used the same textbook and I remembered it by the cover.

I remember feeling so sad and pathetic literally struggling through shit I should have learned in 7th grade in my early 20s. But I did it and less than a year later was doing differential equations and shit. You can do it m8, I'm no genius.

I only went up to trig in highschool. I started attending college at 22 and started from college algebra. I'm 24 now and finished linear algebra and differential equations last semester and got an A in both.

I recommend starting in a math you are comfortable with and working your way up. Put your ego aside. If you need to start at introductory algebra, then do it. It will only help solidify your understanding of math.

How long would it take a chimpanzee to master reading, writing, and arithmetic?

So I guess to get into an Aerospace your curriculum would realistically look something like this taking courses from a CC:

Semester 1:
College algebra
Semester 2:
Pre-calc
Semester 3:
Calc 1, college physics 1
Semester 4:
Calc 2, college physics 2
Semester 5 (optional):
Calc 3, differential equations, linear algebra

So about 2 academic years if you take courses every term.

a full year of college algebra / precalc is retarded

you should be able to get through a ~300 page trig and algebra book in a few months at the longest.
