So in the 19th Century some french dude predictet a technology for the ´distant´ year 2000 similar to what we have with FaceTime today.

My idea is to kind of predict what will happen in 100 years from now on, because we should be more creative now that we have Sci-Fi and such.

What kind of technology will we have?
What problems will we be able to solve?
What is medicine going to look like and how will we be able to treat illness?

I hope you have some nice theories on how its gonna be in 2118!

Unless those aliens that those navy pilots encountered off of California let us in on their tech, things will probably pretty much be the same. Just more efficient computers and smart phones. Cars will be electrical. I see technology progress starting to plateau.

The correct answer is the South Park episode with time-traveling Camp of the Saints. In the future there is rubble and sometimes food.

>What kind of technology will we have?
Self driving cars and electronic sensor enabled roads will be the most apparent tech, but VR will also be a huge breakthrough. Full dive VR will become extremely popular and many people will work and play from inside of it. Primary/secondary schooling and college will be done almost exclusively through VR because of how much more efficient it will be (gas, transportation savings, AI instructors, instant tutoring from anywhere in the world).
>What is medicine going to look like and how will we be able to treat illness?
There won't be many huge breakthroughs in (pill) medicine, instead most disease will be stopped using preventative care. We will develop food which tastes just as good yet doesn't have ill effects like junk food today. Acute injuries will have breakthroughs like limbs artificially grown over years using cells from the person to transplant it to.

Not sure what world problems we could solve. Probably the third world still faces turmoil but those in the first world probably won't ever have to worry about anything basically. Total social safety net, great medical treatment, and top tier education for all.

Self driving cars will mean that cities will be more spread out. Basically like Houston in many areas of the country. It only makes sense. You can work on your commute to work.

China will implode. India will not, but it will hit decreasing economic growth quickly because its population has an IQ of 90.

The US will undergo at least one revolution. The Right will win and institute harsh measures.

Europe will descend into chaos and civil wars.

We will have quantum computers that work on rational logic (rational numbers). They will be vastly faster than q
