I know Im gonna get laughed at but I would like to see a serious discussion of UFOlogy on sci. I am aware the field is full of crazies, disinfo agents, and lacking real investigators and scientists, but there are actual cases and concerns that should be looked into

no there aren't

What about research into quazicrystals and metamatirals that companies like Lockheed Martin and their division Skunkworks deny taking part in?

Sure. Please tell us about unidentified flying objects. But if you say anything about "aliens" or "extraterrestrials" most of us will assume that you're not terribly bright.

(B4 I start yes I'm aware of the Drake equation)The Notion of aliens acting primitive enough to hide on Earth is part of the Disinfo campaign conducted mainly by the AirForce that dates all the way back to Roswell, and is most vividly seen in the film Mirage Men where a former Air Force Special Agent, Richard Doty openly admits to driving a man insane by feeding him that notion, and with hack frauds like Bob Lazar it's hard go take UFOlogy seriously. However there are many credible "conspiracys" that link into the field of physics that the idiots on /X misinterpret and spew bs about. Like when workers at area 51 got sick and died while burning one of the first meta materials used on experimental aircraft (apparently barium titanate was the metamatiral burned) in open pits. Another would be any withheld info on classified research into gravity propulsion, like the Alcubrier Drive that Skunkworks is probably doing. There is a deep conspiracy about weponising space and the Military Industrial complex but I would rather stick to the scientific aspects.

In all seriousness /x is the reason Im here because no one on that board is capable of critical thinking or getting an education. But I want to, I want to solve the negative energy problems in Alcubriers drive and apply quantum physics to it things that have real implications in science not "muhh i saw a light and aliens probed me buy my book"

>negative energy problems in Alcubriers drive
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcubierre_drive
>If certain quantum inequalities conjectured by Ford and Roman hold, the energy requirements for some warp drives may be unfeasibly large as well as negative. For example, the energy equivalent of −10^64 kg might be required to transport a small spaceship across the Milky Way—an amount orders of magnitude greater than the estimated mass of the observable universe.

OP here, and thank you for taking the discussion seriously, even if we can't use negative energy (or dark energy) there is still interest in finding out what it is considering it makes up 70% of the Un
uiverse's energy capacity

As long as it is Unidentified, Flying and an Object it qualifies as an UFO. Once you identify it as the flight to London it no longer qualifies.

Many natural phenomena have caused observations, especially Venus that even spooks pilots.

As for aliens it becomes implausible. If you have the tech to cross the cast stretches of space, is it really plausible they would have the equivalent of a flat tire over Roswell? I think not. Moreover they would not be seen unless they wanted to, assuming we are capable of seeing/noticing them. And frankly, given the continuous blood bath of the last 5000 years I think any alien would leave promptly unless there was a market for bizarre reality shows back home.

So Occam's Razor dictates they do not exist.
