ive got a question for you /sci/. I have 12 spots where I can place one of two values. I know the number of possible combinations is 144, is there a tool that calculates and shows all the possible combinations?

no, you have to try them all one by one

>>9174211
but theres no table that will show all the combinations?

Are you sure it's not 2^12

I don't think so

shit nevermind you're right

12!/10!=144

>> No.9175956

No but it'd be very simple to write a program which generates them all for you.

Its really 2^12>>9174225

For example if you had three spots where you can place one of two values:

A A A
A A B
A B A
B A A
A B B
B A B
B B A
B B B

8 options, 2^3. sci is a terrible board because people on it are not smart

As has been discussed, there are 2^12 possible states here.
If you want to write them out systematically, treat them as binary (0 is one state and 1 is the other) and write it as
000000000000
000000000001
000000000010
...
111111111111
(i.e. write 0 to 4095 in binary)
