Not in my experience. A lot of this shit moved to CS in the last few years. Even the Indians where I graduated moved to CS. Most of the engineering students I see now a days are returning students. Typically older blue-collar type guys trying to do something with their lives. And intensely homosexual.

I started a robotics bachelor this year. There are 5-6 girls out of a total of 90 students. Ranging from 3/10 to 6/10, with one 8/10. Each and every one was surrounded by dudes from day one. I wanted to find a gf at uni, but I'm not going to sink to the level my classmates have. The girls literally walk around now with 6-7 dudes each who worship them. I imagine it's excruciatingly annoying. I want to seduce one of their idols just to see the looks on their face. God damn I hate those autistic cunts.

Maybe it's the fact that it is the first time in their lives that their natural skills are validated by society, given that in high school only jocks and artist types get rewarded. What I really meant is that introversion and high school isn't a defining factor. Lot of people call others shitheads for a lot of reasons. Later when you meet them they say "You're changed, anon.", but in reality you didn't change much.

However, if you do your own shit then you're pretty much set, because you do need self-confidence for that. Of course, I'm not talking about the guy who sits at home watching anime all day, but those who wish to achieve something, be that reading books or programming or whatever, those get out to socialize even if selectively. There are many jobs which fit introverts and you can choose when to socialize and/or reduce the amount you spend on talking BS with others. This can be a good way to get shit done.

For example, I'm quite good when I choose to do some social shit, but if you throw me into a party when I'm thinking about circuits or some shit then I may sound a bit weird, because I need to adjust.
