How the fuck can gravity have a speed? I have tried to wrap my mind around this for months and I just cannot do it.

Gravitons get stuck in the Calabi-Yau manifolds just like everything else.
It's like molasses everywhere.

Everything has a speed

It has to have a speed for it to make sense with the calculations

Can you explain a bit more about what the Calabi-Yau manifolds are and why this is important?

string theory nonsense

Think of it this way. It's not that gravity has a speed, but rather that information (including any sort of "effects") are limited in propagation to a speed that we call the speed of light.
Light was just the first phenomena we found that hit this limit of propagation.

It's not a speed it's an acceleration.

Gravity is caused by energy..
mass is just one type of energy..
