Should I just kill myself now?
I wish I could get something this summer at the very least. I don't want to have to die...

>> No.8968378

Do you have any research under your belt? Any friends who have interned at good companies and could recommend you? Do you at least come from a school with a good name?

If you answered no to all of those, consider suicide or trade school.

Kill yourself if you don't get one for next summer by the end of next semester.

the time for killing yourself is long gone now. You should have done it before you even brought this amount of shame on yourself.

just to add, I asked those questions separately because any one of them should give you opportunities. My school is probably not even ranked for my major because it sucks and is brand new, but I did research out the ass and had an internship. I was able to get into an extremely good grad school based on that.

Wait never mind, that's the grad school's program.

Google businesses in the fucking area and tell them you are a student at "x school" and you'd like to follow some dude around and learn some basic shit that goes down on their line, do it and then boom you have work experience.

They have a potential employee pick up and you've probably guaranteed yourself a job because people need engineers.

Same guy.

To add to this, don't go "Oh, I don't want to do this, I'm not interested in this really", because you need the experience first. Do this for a few years and then you can throw your resume to another company that you'd really rather work at. Getting your foot into the door and then doing whatever you want when you prove yourself later is the way it goes.

stall for time by going to grad school. make sure you get a couple internships in the following semesters. do literally ANYTHING related to your major, don't be picky. you fucked up and have to pay for it.

atleast you didnt study psychology with a 2.5gpa and no internships or work experience like me

>got accepted to grad school
white male privileged really is a thing

>> No.8969237

You still have time.
Most professors take on a lot of students if they show some interest in their area of research. You can also make up for a lack of experience with good personal projects. A well thought out and documented personal project can go a long way in your resume and it gives you something to talk about in interviews.

seconding this guy.

Do FSAE. It'll make you WAY more employable. Arguably learn more skills than most internships
