all you need to know for series is
[math] \sum a_n\to\ell [/math] if and only if [math]a_n\to 0 [/math] and
if [math] a_n>0 [/math], then [math] \sum a_n\to \ell [/math] if and only if [math] \frac{a_n}{a_{n+1}}<1 [/math] everything else you can derive from that
