I recall seeing an article headline that claimed couples who have sex often are more successful. Can anyone verify this?

>> No.8889357

do you really need to verification? sounds like common sense to me

>> No.8889402

It'd be difficult to properly verify, but it does make sense. A couple who has frequently is probably going to have:

1) A deep-rooted primal need satisfied well, making it easier to focus on more important things
2) Boosted confidence in day to day interactions from knowing there's someone they're important to
3) A reliable source of deep emotional support
4) Periodic deep stress reduction

…among other benefits, assuming a healthy relationship. You'd have to be pretty useless to be getting all of that and not deriving long-term benefit from it.

Hypothesis: the more frequent sex is first of all an effect and not a cause of the couple being more successful, for the simple reason that the couple are healthier and more attractive, and consequently better able to get promotions, preferential treatment, leninency etc.

At some point these things may go into a positive feedback loop, but I won't go further beyond this general idea.

Roissy once cited an item which indicated that more attractive people have more gratifying sex. Imagine that. This is closely related to my above hypothesis.

Ninety percent of the time, scientific studies ultimately verify common sense. Another five percent of the time, the study is a sort of bogus and dubious nonsense which hopefully does not persist, but may manage do to so as some sort of a meme.

The remaining five percent of the time, the study concludes something weird or counter-intuitive which bears lots of scrutiny and forces us to adapt a bit. This is the important five percent, and it's what justifies the rote exercise of carrying out the above remaining ninety-five percent, even though the public can smirk at the many scientific studies which do, ultimately, merely confirm common sense. The public forgets the above five percent which I've just indicated.

This is not science. We can all observe that happy people fuck and people who fuck are happy.

Arn't nymphos hard to maintain control over?

Seems like they'd be super hard to satisfy leaving them to ride the cock train, woot, woot.

Use common sense sci for once.

People who have more sex have by definition less time for other endeavors, like studying, thinking, having discussions, making money etc.

The inherit disadvantage accumulates over time, thus they will likely not contribute or advance society in any major way, compared to the "virgins".

Now if you define success as having a wild sex life, raising kids, being wealthy and popular, maybe even running a non-profit organization, yes they are by this definition "successful".

However, real scientists and gentlemen will agree the only true path to success lies in the search for wisdom and knowledge, which unfortunately comes hand in hand with social isolation and intense anxiety.

Thanks for listening to me *tips fedora*.
