Is a Bachelors degree in Psychology worth it ? If you were to pursue post graduate education.

I got a Cousin about to finish it with honors, dude's in the 170 IQ range. He keeps telling me Psychology was a mistake, and it is not a Science. He went in because he wanted the closest thing to philosophy that he could get paid by doing, but regrets it now.

I am a Brainlet, so I don't know.

I have a feeling that going the academic psychology route is too abstract beacause it's not useful in most situations; On the other, paring it with something like finance or or data science can be powerful; Atleast that is what I am hoping.

>bachelor's
Most definitely
Psyops and psychiatry are exceptions and the latter formally requires a phd while the former takes years of gaining the government's trust.

Look up repligate and ask yourself if you really want to work together with these people.

At least go into cognitive psychology.

No, I have one with honors and I completely regret this route. Consider biomedical sciences or medicine. Psychology is outright subpar to alternatives in the medical world. I am actually ashamed of going in this field. It is clearly targeted at brainlets and was actually a breeze compared to highschool..

Ask yourself, what kind of employer is going to hire someone with a background in cog psy?
