Every other subject is understandable. But I'm shit at math. Can I just use a calculator and say I'm smart or am I forever a brainlet?

I should elaborate:

The soroban is unique in that its emphasis is on being as lazy mentally as possible. This means you only ever work with numbers between 1-10, and usually with only 1 at a time. Everyone who gets good at it magically becomes able to do mental calculations by simply imagining a soroban in front of them.

In 3-6 months a person can become very fast at the soroban depending on their talent.
But teens are typically more eager than 24 year olds to dedicating 1 hour a day for a year or two years which is needed to become a calculating goddess
