you need to understand that there are multiple forms of infinity. there's counting infinity, and infinity. there are infinite counting numbers, (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and infinite numbers between each counting number.

No matter how many nines you can type in (.999999-) there will be infinite more numbers after it. Meaning your .99999- is infinitely far away from 1, meaning you can't round up.
