Which is more useful: Calculus, Statistics or Linear Algebra? Pic Unrelated.

more useful in what context?

Without any specifics Analysis is the most important.

Universally? Linear Algebra
Business-related? Statistics
STEM? Generally integrals and derivates, Calculus isn't really necessary

Also INTJ master race

Why is it required for so many majors?

>> No.8798009

>>8798007
Because you learn a good set of math skills and they make you smarter, I guess

Actual usefulness of Calculus outside that is almost none

Doesn't it come up often in Physics and Chemistry and Statistics?

What the fuck are you on about calculus shows up everywhere in applied math.

Why do you hate on CS? Theory of Computation, Algorithms and AI are intellectually challenging fields.

He's probably a Physics or Mathematics major that's butthurt that his education is worthless. As soon as you retards go away from the school bench and actually do something that generates results you completely abandon everything you studied and start working with computer science instead..

Any computer scientist with some experience to your field would do a better job than you.

Integrals are used in calculating probability, but we just use SPSS in statistics. Linear and matrix algebra are far more important for 90 percent of statistics work.
