1) IQ does not measure intelligence. It measures a specific skill that can be loosely described as "puzzle solving".
2) Asian households are much more estrict and overall better so more asian kids than white kids have good hobbies like doing math or doing puzzles. I talked about this with a former manager of mine once (he's Chinese). His take, as I remember it, was that the Chinese education system stresses hard work and rote memorization over the creative problem solving that usually leads to mathematical/scientific breakthroughs. In one generation, that is correct. Over many generations, that is obviously wrong otherwise you would only see uniformly random fluctuations in IQ generation to generation regardless of cognitive complexity of parents' occupation or puzzle solving habits.

Also, there isn't really a hard line between sections of the IQ tests as they're generally positively correlated with each other. It's well known that even if people have do better on vocab, visual recall or reaction time, they'll still generally do better on quantitative reasoning than people with lower IQs than them. Specialized intelligence is just a comforting story guilt-ridden intelligent people like telling themselves so they don't feel like they're "too superior" to anyone else.

I am not saying that Asians are not creative. I am actually quite found of many of their spiritual philosophic schools (the early teachings of Buddhism, for example, are one of my favorite examples of Ethics) and a lot of their poetry, fiction and cinema.

I was merely saying that those who put high IQ scores as the supreme premeditator of achievement are not considering the mysterious faculty of the mind that we call creativity, something that might be even more important in the creation of great art and science than pure raw intelligence.

I do not have an excuse. I abstain myself of commenting intellectual differences between races. I don’t have the learning and the accumulated knowledge to say anything about it. Some of my readings state that there are actually different races (like the book “Before the Dawn”), but mostly what I see is that the scientific community tend to disregard the notion of “human races”. Like I said, I don’t know nothing about it, not even if I can talk about different races. When I mentioned “Asians” I was referring to people of cultures that we tend to see as “Asiatic”. For example, the Buddha was “racially” not what we tend to call Asian today. He was Indian, and people in India, I have read, are “Caucasoid” in race (for skin color is not a valid indicator of race – again, this I have read in “Before the Dawn”).

I have some small knowledge of the researches in the relation between intelligence and creativity. From what I read researchers generally state that for great creative work an IQ of above 120 is necessary, yet above that mark the correlation between IQ and creativity starts to fade away. Yet the very reason why some people are more creative than others is unknown, so it is hard to talk about it.

There is also some subjectivity in the evaluation of the creations. Can Shakespeare and Beethoven and Bach be considered superior to Von Neumann? It seems clear that Neumann had a higher IQ, yet his contributions to mathematics are not considered as astounding as the ones of the tree artists mentioned before. Or if we put in another way: is Einstein’s work superior in creative power than the one of Neumann? Most scientists seem to view Einstein’s creative mind as more impressive than Neumann’s, even tough Neumann’s IQ was probably superior (as the IQ of Terence Tao is also superior). Is Terence Tao body of work superior in creativity to the one of Grothendieck?

So creativity is something we know that exist, but it is hard to “see” how it works in the brain and when the final product is presented we still have a good deal of subjectivism in its evaluation.

IQ is a shit metric that has a very weak correlation with any other measurement. You can see an average increase in income correlate with IQ, but when you plot the actual cases, it's hard to predict one from the other.

Most recent super powers have been white or are white enough the average person would call them white. The USA, France, England, Germany, Russia, and several other countries have had excellent economies or military power in recent history. In other times, other races made up the majority of scientific contributions.

This is my guess anyway.
