You can, but it won't give you any information that IR wouldn't, unless you're dealing with organometallic or inorganic complexes, where Raman really comes into it's own.

It's superfluous. If you went to go publish your work and included Raman but not IR you would get rejected.

The J.Nat.Prod. guidelines, arguably the benchmark for organic-anaylitical research don't even mention Raman spectroscopy.

That's all I meant.
