what's expected of you is far less than 8 hours/day of work, and the work is mostly fairly easy and interesting if you picked the correct major
you can skip almost anything you want with no consequences as long as you're responsible about what you skip

the only upside about a job is that you get paid

Not for me. I had to work while in college, so getting out of college was one less chore.

Plus, I really just enjoy work alot more.

And finally getting paid is a huge plus.
