1. c) isn't done yet. x to the -2 on the bottom is the same as x to the +2 on the top so you need to flip that. Simplified = no negative exponents.

5. is wrong. Area is width times height so it would be 4x times x = 4x^2. Area also = 68, so 68 = 4x^2. Divide by 4 and you have 17 = x^2. So x = the square root of 17.
