I'm about to choose a degree in engineering and i'd like your advice about it. I narrowed it down to mechanical, aerospace, and electrical engineering. which is harder and why ? and how versatile are each. i know aero is basically mechanical with a few added courses in later years, but i don't know much about the course load other than
>mechanical-math, thermodynamics and some mechanics
and
>electrical-more math, more cs, electricity.

how much electricity is actually studied and how much is mechanics and thermodynamics studies in electrical engi.

also how much does each go into more advanced physics.

any input is appreaciated guys, i kinda like mech and practical stuff i can visualize more, but at the same electrical seem to be more useful in the future and it's probably where most inovation will come from.

1./adv/ is slow as shit
2.faggots on /adv/ don't know their shit, while people on /sci/
3. these types of threads are frequent, and i pretty much asked about differences between each field, hardly an offt-opic question

you're going nowhere at this rate brainlet, go talk to a guidance counselor

looked into it, most sources talk about how in mech you learn math cad and physics and how about in EE you learn math, cc and physics

what branches of physics ? who the fuck knows, i sure as shit haven't seen any source mention that, which is why i asked the question here.

you might as well fuck off if you're contributing in any way

have you tried looking at the course catalog for the degree program you're interested in retard? if you can't even figure this out you shouldn't be anywhere near a university to begin with

all undergrad engineering is pretty much the same. do whatever you want and take some electives to fill in your cross discipline interests.

the only thing that really matters is what PE exam you take and what kind of research you've done.

engineering isn't about whats on your degree, its about what you can do, and actually learning how to DO stuff isn't something you are going to get out of your classes. the classes are just there to give you a nebulous foundational grasp on the material.

>how much does each go into more advanced physics

>advanced physics
>undergrad engineering

top kek. engineering is handwavy as fuck and based mostly off intuition and educated guess work. you will approximate fucking everything. as a matter of fact, once you take numerical methods you will almost never solve anything analytically again. its a handful of 1st principle equations combined with stacks of look ups in some technical manual.

YES YOU FAGGOT I HAVE, I LITERALLY SAID THAT, AND WHAT IT SAYS IS, NO MULTIPLE COURSE CATALOGS IS LITERALLY CALC, ALGEBRA, PHYS, INTRO TO CS

i mean you're really signing up for a degree without even knowing what courses you'll have to take? don't you want to put a little more thought into your future? do you even know how much tuition will cost you?

>> No.8448340

holy shit you're a fucking brainlet

not the least bit surprised you're doing engineering

but tbqh, I'm not sure if you're going to be able to do that.

oh, and btw, you probably wont even end up doing engineering work when you graduate. legit "engineers" make shit money without their PE and a huge portion of new engineers go into project management or contract negotiation just because of that reason.

no they're not
calculus 1&2
algebra
physics
computer modeling

are courses you dipshit, what me to spell it out for you

if you know that baby watered down 1st year physics is the only physics class you're taking then why even ask about advanced physics brainlet?
