Which is harder, majoring in Math or Physics?

I'm starting Physics and I am terrified. o_o

Physics, by far.

You'll actually have to apply all the things math majors fap about.

>Which is harder, majoring in Math or Physics?

This is a hard question to answer as classes taken can vary significantly.

However, I would say the baseline requirements required by a physics major are generally harder than the baseline requirements required by a math major.

Mainly because of the requirement to study all the theoretical stuff + spends hours in the lab doing experiments and writing lab reports.

Physics.
My Mathematics department is chill as fuck

Physics gets to be absolutely brutal.

Both and neither

They are the tools to explain everything and both are neccesary to learn
But neither of them are easy/hard, it all depends of your university/cc

physics is more work because you have to do problem sets and labs

This honestly. It's not about which field is harder, it's just easy to coast by in math because professors don't have failing you on their to do list.

if you major in physics and don't double major in math you're not doing it correctly.

Therefore physics is the correct answer since it should always include a math major.

Math > EE > Physics > Math

If you take challenging courses (Algebra with Artin, Analysis with Rudin, Topology with Munkres), math is harder.
If you go for the easiest courses (Algebra with Pinter, Combinatorics, Number Theory, Graph Theory, Advanced Calculus), math is easier.

Physics, probably.

It's always more difficult when your major has real world applications that can be tested.

unlike the other posters, I have degrees in
both Physics and Mathematics, and you can
believe me when I say Mathematics is much
harder to master (via graduate degree) than
is Physics

>My counselor told me I was going to have a minor in mathematics.
>ok

Half way through the semester and I want to kill myself. Discreet math is the most bullshit class I have taken so far in college. Im literally switching my major and signing up for something else and dropping the fuck out of thst class. It honestly wouldnt be so bad if the teacher would actually teach. I just get all fucked up when I see a letter used and treated as a number if that makes any sense.
