It's already established that many African countries are technically running at sub-optimal IQ averages. In other words you have populations of people with lower IQs than they really should have because of constant generations of pregnant mother's and children with poor diets.

Not saying a better diet alone will boost their averages to or over a 100. But there are regional populations who really shouldn't be in the 70's when their neighboring countries are in the 80's and theirs little environmental difference.

It's effectively a slightly more dramatic version of the South Korea vs. North Korea IQ difference where the South has at least 3 IQ points over north despite being a part of the same genomic population.

The original creator of the test designed it specifically to measure children's understanding in school settings. And the study of "g" is specifically an attempt to expand on that work through a multitude of battery testing.

The problem is IQ has become too much of a social meme and arguably gone way past it's original goal and boundaries it can measure at this point. I'm black. My IQ is above average. The alleged falsehoods of equality allow me to thrive, because I generally get a fair shot at just about everything. If I were merely seen as a black person, if the general assumption were that I had a low IQ, then I would probably be less successful in life. It sure sounds like African negroes have always been very much in a natural "comfort zone": why develop sails, if a simple canoe is more than enough to catch fish? Why think of going away, if the land where I live is plentiful and satisfies my basic needs? Why thrive for more, if what I have is OK? Why develop tall buildings if I have plenty of land for expanding horizontally?

Necessity is the mother of invention, complacence invites to stagnation.
