I just had an argument with my 19 year old cousin, who is deeply religious, about the existence of God, as well as how the Universe was created, and where do humans come from.

Hearing him speaking about Adam and Eve, how humans came from them, how God created universe, really made me laugh so fucking hard for some reason.
I have no knowledge on the topic, I just told him things that looked logical to me.

What is your opinion /sci/? Is there a God? How was the universe created?

Is there a God?
Yes.

How was the universe created?
It had a beginning (those other theories don't hold water), the Big Bang.

Why did you laugh OP? Laughing in that circumstance makes it sound like you think you and your belief system are far superior to somebody with a religious world view. What folly.

atheists might knock religion, but they really have no concept of why it exists beyond something along the lines of "controlling idiots".

in any case, science vs religion threads don't belong here so kindly fuck off
