can we agree that planets and solar systems are in some sense "alive"?

I don't mean biological beings, but beings that have subsystems that react to their enviroments, just like living beings.

We don't know if they can be conscious, or if they're part of a big conscious system, it isn't worth to discuss something like that we will probably never be able to prove something like that.
We don't even know how consciousness does work, or what life exactly is.
Imagine if there are setient beings that can move through time or crazy shit like that, we will never know.

I'd love to find out that Earth is actually alive. It'd be so cool, we'd be the equivalents of bacteria on the Earth's skin.

really makes you think

The term "alive" is so meaningless and divisive, let's not make it any more complicated. Let's stop calling things living and just call them what they are.

In short: no OP, not ever; never please stop.

OP if a planet contains living organisms it may be called a "biosphere" which is one massive unit of life. It's self regulating and contains all living things on and within it. If it doesn't contain biological entities it may not be called "living".
