What's the point of even going to college, /sci/? Debt, employers want experience and going to a good school, and it's who you know and not what you done.

And yet if I whip out my dick and slap them right across the face with it a few times, suddenly it becomes more about what I done. I took both my penis, and the situation, into my hand, and came out on top.

You have more control than you know.

>Debt, employers want experience and going to a good school, and it's who you know and not what you done.

> Got minor debt (£27k UK)
> experience (lab work + aiming to do a masters)
> Good school - consistently ranked top 10 globally
> who you know - A handful of professors in my field, since I may try to get a PhD

>What's the point of even going to college, /sci/?
Because the fields I want to go into require it.
One field being medicine (doctor in a hospital), the other being medical research (neurodegenerative research).

I can understand your dismay, OP, if you go to a shit-tier university

It's not about good schools, it's about CS being worst major that colleges offer.

Even better the repayments are something like £60 a month, you only start repaying it when you make over a certain amount, and it gets wiped away completely after 40 years. I've got to say it's "debt" in name only.

You picked a shitty example. For what the finance industry pays, they get the privilege of being picky.

I've always hated that picture.
How autistic do you gotta be to decide to haphazardly color a few words red?
There was no fucking point to do that, and yet some faggot did do just that. God damn I hate whoever you are.

W-what?

Are you implying that the government is going to write off those fees in the next 6 years as the parties jockie for places? or are you saying something else?

Breh.
Must I leave the UK to do so?
And are there any countries where, if I resided, would not let me do this, if you know?
I plan to pay the £9k I would have originally owed, but if I can find a way which doesn't cause too much trouble to me, I'd like to avoid paying the further £18k

U of T and McGill are internationally known and they're both world class research universities. Both are among the top 20 in the world - better than most American universities.
Waterloo and UBC get honorable mentions.

Did I fuck up by going to waterloo over uoft? I was under the impression that UW CS+year 1-3 math > UofT CS/some math..

>>7755579
That's like a weird CS/EE/Math combo probably only at MIT/Berkeley so fuck off but I'll have similar courses by choice rather than as what all CS majors must take..fuck

The program that other anon posted is garbage btw. Don't worry about it.
U of T leads Canada in everything. Even if a program is better at Waterloo (it isn't), the U of T name holds more pull. U of T was ranked 15th in the world overall recently... That's ahead of most Ivy League schools, public ivies, ahead of all but the best public schools (Berkeley, UcLa, etc) and amongst schools like U Chicago. You didnt fuck up. Waterloo is fine, its just a small Canadian school not really well known like U of T. It's cool program is internationally known and that would make up for any (minimal) shortcomings from its name. Mind you, this is internationally. Within Canada, science or math at Waterloo is gold. You could absolutely work on Bay Street in Toronto. They love seeing Waterloo.
