But that is a false equivalence. That is like saying that if you enjoy listening to music then you would learn more by studying music theory. It is true but it is not the same.

Khan Academy do purely educational videos and it is clear that their purpose is exclusively to educate. Some of their videos are also entertaining (eulers identity) but that is simply because of the talent of the speaker, not because it is their set goal.

Numberphile tries to educate (although in a more casual way) and to entertain. That is why among long and serious videos about the riemann hypothesis you also have a video about fucking chicken mc nuggets. It is all about good and healthy fun with numbers.
