Nice pile of strawmen you've got there.

God is irrelevant.

yeah, exactly
how does it matter whether does god exist or not

There is no reason to believe in a god.

I remember watching a video where richard dawkins was discussin about religion with some muslims. There seems to be a story in the muslim bible whith a flying horse. He explained to them that their religion can't be right because flying horses have never been existed (I forgot how he proved this but I assume he has good sources). So if not even flying horses could exist, how could god?

Well we could do experiments. Like getting 1,000,000 believers of the same faith to pray every night for the same cause, to heal someone from cancer or whatever. Ofc they`d never do that since all religion is bullshit and skydaddy doesn`t exist.

flying horses = all mighty entity

im arguing from a deistic-ism standpoint. lets say we know nothing about god and all religion is just folklore on paper.

then how could we study God?

>> No.7677064

>>7677006
well pretty much every time i ask this atheist jump to the biblical fallacies first. Im not taking about Jesus im talking about god as a real supernatural entity, no stories, no claims, jus some kind of programmer of our universe or something.

This basically, it adds nothing

Since there's nothing physical about god, you would need to study him in terms of how people perceive him. To study god is equivocal to studying a certain idea that is shared among people, like the value of currency.

what kind of argument do you expect to hear when you're discussing something that can't be proven or disproven.

It's a waste of time

I knew a physics student. He wanted to build atomic bombs.

I asked why. He said the pay was great, and if his work was ever tested, he never had to worry about whether or not it worked.

This is why I never argue ethics or God with a board made up of physicists.

You're not interested in studying the "origin of the universe", stop pretending you are. You're interested in unfalsifiable, infantile discussion of cultural traits.

Religion threads aren't allowed in /sci/ for a reason. Promptly kill yourself.
