They already do, so I'm sure what you mean. We live in a society where science and religion both exist.

To my surprise a lot of religious people enjoy space exploration, maybe they are interested in the potential discovery of heaven and hell?

I think its more accurate to say science is the tool we invented to understand the rules God set in place that made the universe what it is.

That's assuming he exists of course.

religion is kind of a broad term... i mean I have my own personal religion, no church no real god, agnostic for the most part, science IS my religion, my clergyman are famous physicists and people like michio kaku and neil degrasse tyson, bill nye... but back to the point, i think it all depends on the religion, but there will ALWAYS be religion and the will ALWAYS be science so... they are going to have to get along!

This is bait or you don't fundamentally understand science or god.

See, god is fed to you through all these different faucets where sometimes people think he's a different ethnicity or an all-encompassing force of good and the truth is that while there are concepts that those thoughts give power to, there is only one true being above all the beings we currently know.

God is not some specific embodiment of certain characteristics. No, god is the embodiment of ALL characteristics. God is every point of the entire universe at the same time. Anything that has existed or will ever exist in the universe is part of a system that details an ever-expanding net of points that are all simultaneously connected into one single object. God has no care for our struggles because it understands far more than we do and our troubles seem trivial to it. God probably isn't even aware of our issues because it is a being of such understanding that it knows reason why our lives must be the way they are.

So yes, there is room for religion in science because science is the only falsifiable religion.

Your argument is moot. Even if there are no supernatural beings, that means that there are forces within the universe that can defy fixed laws. Which makes sense, we can do it on a smaller scale.

Stop listening to black science guy. Science doesn't seek to answer the question of what universe's source code is but how the black box of the universe behaves under certain circumstances to some tolerance. All our scientific knowledge is wrong if you push it far enough.

If any religion had any proof, it would become a science.
So, by definition, religion is unscientific and unreasonable.

They can coexist, but never without conflict or hypocrisy.

But there is historical evidence. The problem is that Dawkins and co have tricked fedoras into demanding absolute proof of God when nothing outside of mathematics, not even science, is proved to such a rigorous standard.

Welcome to apologetics wordgames.

Science is about modeling the world and verifying your results. Religion is about none of that. Its about unjustified belief on bad or no evidence. Theres a difference.

History has a methodology behind it. With differing ammounts of certainty depending on the evidence present. The jesus stories have basicly no evidence at all. And what is there is way better and more coherently explained with a mythical jesus made up by believers. Not even a charismatic preacher that existed. Literally made up from front to back.

Math is part of the formal sciences. You fucking lazy idiot.
