I don't really re-read notes, most of the stuff I write down gets stuck somewhere in my head
also my writing sucks so the faster I take my notes the less readable they are, even for myself
at the end of the lecture I just throw the notes into a folder filled with previous notes
that folder then gets discarded after the semester

Not that guy, but seriously, there's literally the entire spectrum of electromagnetic radiation out there floating around. We can reliably use a small portion of that spectrum for communications, cooking stuff, transmitting energy, whatever. We need antennas to receive that stuff. Antenna theorists study antennas and try to improve our capabilities using greater ranges of the spectrum.
