Uhm.. but there is nothing wrong with the second image, the one that says 40 - 32 / 2 = 4!

The "!" on 4! is called a factorial.
(4! = 1 * 2 * 3 * 4 = 24)
32 / 2 = 16
40 - 16 = 24 = 4!

So it wouldn't be a joke, I guess..

Damn, I didn't even notice that. Clever. I think the "joke" is that 4 would be an incorrect answer one would give if they forgot the order of operations and ran the subtraction first, then division -- but they reworked the incorrect answer to be the right one with a factorial.
