Lamarsh's text is more prominently used though I prefer Shultis
Supplement with Radiation Detection and Measurement - Glenn F. Knoll

Bumping my own question from the previous thread for a quality molecular simulation text.

Someone yelled at me from the last thread for just giving a bunch of recommendations and not stopping to chat.

So, to >7357905
I work in areas that can be classified as several complex variables, complex algebraic geometry and differential geometry. Think the Siu/Demailly school of complex analytic method in algebraic geometry, mixed in with more typical (complex) differential geometry (the former I am stronger at, was what I studied as a PhD student, the latter I am getting into more now). I try to learn mathematical physics (mostly just conceptually/shallowly), but I am not an expert and cannot even dream of publishing in the area. I find it very interesting though, so I've looked through many books in the area for conceptual overviews but haven't done many problems/proofs. I still have looked through enough books/been to enough conferences to know what I like, but take my recommendations there with a grain of salt, as my perspective might be completely different.

I would like to know this as well. Seems like there are not many good sources to get started in this area

I found with commutative algebra that the more resources the better. Supplement with Eisenbud, Matsumura, and for the more informal side Kazuya's lecture notes which are both highly readable and entertaining: http://math.uchicago.edu/~chonoles/expository-notes/courses/2013/326/math326notes.pdf

Rings, rings please come! *shuffles along the floor, playing the part of the ring* Finite fields, come! Rings of functions, come! *hops* I think they are here now.
