Have math gone too far in a few places?

>> No.7280992

Yes.

>> No.7280998

No. Math is true whether we like it or not. Same goes for the other hard sciences. Knowledge known no bounds. We are free to create or destroy. However, those who choose to destroy instead of create do not deserve the our gift, which is meant for building, and not for destruction.

Recently I was told by a very knowledgeable source that a Mathematician by the name of... I can't remember the guy's name, it starts with a P and is something like parov, or pavu, idk, he's russian. Anyways, this mathematician doesn't like to be in cities and is pretty crazy. And he's solved how to factor prime numbers or whatever. It's a big deal apparently.

Anyone here have any info on this? I can't remember very well what my source told me

I know how to factor large prime numbers too! Solved this on my own a few weeks ago:

For any large prime p, the factors of p are p and 1.

Hilbert said math should be focused on productive results. He viewed the construction of the nonwhere differentiable continuous function as an abomination.

With this statement in mind, a lot of math has gone too far away from having value. I am a mathematics major but I will freely admit large sections of math are long irrelevant strings of logical connectives with no physical meaning or interpretation.
