Is it possible to change your MBTI type or is everything genetic?

I am INTJ but I wish I was ESFP.

while MBTI does have it uses, personality is not set in stone.

Well it's not possibly by the current technology.
You would have to deactivate your INTJ-genes and activate your ESFP-genes.

Yes, just change the answers to those stupid multiple choice questions on the bullshit websites where you take these tests

voilà, you will change your personality

What MBTI is really is a study of Functions, not so much based in the rigidity of type description. Changing your type (or at least your persona's type), is as easy as understanding function sets and how each function behaves in a particular set.

For example, I'm ENTP. My functions are:
Primary: Ne (extroverted intuition)
Secondary: Ti (Introverted Thinking)
Tertiary: Fe (extroverted feeling)
Inferior: Si (introverted sensing)

However, I've learned how to exacerbate my Fe to appear more outgoing and empathetic, so often I can be mistyped as an ENFJ, as ENTP is just an inverse of ENFJ's function set.

Tl;dr: Changing your MBTI (or what MBTI you appear to be) is as easy as understanding functions and knowing how to act

The real distinction between extroverts and introverts is actually so blurred and minuscule that it's really irrelevant. People that are "I'm so le introverted xD books and Netflix!" Are usually just extroverts with poor social skills

bad feel man

I mean I know it's kind of janky pseudoscience and sci doesn't like psychology anyways but it's still interesting to talk about

I'm an INTJ too, but my special snowflake phase was extremely short-lived. I never got into the reddit fedora leven. I was always very depressed though, sometimes less, sometimes on the verge of actual depression, but that's really the only angsty thing I have about me. Guessing it would be similar for the rest of INTJs on 4chan?

yes of course. you can have genetics for low muscle mass, but if you work out enough you can get bigger than a person with genetics for high muscle mass

ENFJ reporting in. I enjoy being around others, but I mostly keep to myself and am very introspective.

Many people assume I'm asocial at first, but that isn't the case, just usually thinking/pondering all the time. I think I may be a bit more introverted now, but I still like spending time with others given the chance.

They are usually stuck after you grow up, or at least this is what the theory says, but I wouldn't exclude a change, after all those functions are not anything more than abstractions.

Anyway, why would you like more being an ESFP? What's wrong with you?

>> No.7244929

>>7244126
I wouldn't say it's genetic, obviously. However, after you've grown up, your personality is pretty much that. You can polish it, but it would be really, really hard to change it effectively, unless part of what you consider your personality are actually caused by traumas etc.
