Stop labeling yourself idiot. All this bullshit about labeling yourself an introvert or extrovert just leads to justification of behavior like "no, I'd rather stay in, I'm an introvert." or "I got to go out, I'm an extrovert." rather than just doing whatever the fuck you feel like because you actually feel like doing it either way.

>> No.7216126

>>7216120
My interest in MBTI is in Jung's original functions (cognitive theory), not the bullshit dichotomy model (behavioral theory). I'm INFJ, this just seems like an INTJ place.

>> No.7216128

>>7216094
Of course there will be people that will seem more extroverted or introverted but to label them is simply just evaluating them and causes them to evaluate themselves as well as such which can lead to irrational behavior which might not be part of them naturally.

>> No.7216132

>>7216126
Labeling yourself in general is idiotic. It limits yourself, it makes you things you can and can't be, just be yourself, the only label to that is your name.

>> No.7216133

>>7216132
Labeling yourself is stupid if you are obstinate & inflexible about them and do not account for change.

This post reeks of counter-scientific thought.

Of course labeling yourself is okay. Carl Jung's cognitive theory is extremely useful in learning about yourself as well as other people and why they behave the way they do.

For example, I get worn out in parties and need to recharge at home for a while when I do because such a daunting task quickly depletes the slowly-replenishing acetylcholine levels in my brain. Extroverts rely on a different transmitter - dopamine and adrenaline, so being at a party would -recharge- them, which gives them the opposite effect. You can imagine that different people also have different blood pathways in their brain and that also helps dominate their preferred cognitive functions. I happen to be an INTJ. You sound like an INFJ.

ENTP yo.

>> No.7216198

I guess i am INFP. But i could be INFJ or INTP too. Its weird because although i am very sensible i also tend to value logic and rationality above empathy.

I'm INFP.
It kind of fits. Many authors are INFP and writing was always some kind of dream job for me, but I never actually tried it.
Somehow I still ended up in university and focused more on tech and science than anything else. I forcefully punched the math into my head.
I still wonder how much potential I wasted by not following and improving my actual talents.

Personality types are ineffective and pointless. People are a constantly changing combination of their genetics and their experiences, and trying to put them into types at all is never going to work, but trying to group all human personality into only 16 archetypes is offensive to all of mankind. Jung, but mostly his butt buddy Freud, are responsible for not only major public misconceptions about the human mind, but also (opinion here) the death of almost all valid literary criticism and other such analyses, which now place an anal-retentive emphasis on sex and dichotomies, just like that fucker Nietzsche. It has pervaded society so much that there is a large group of people that believe they are the wrong "gender" because they don't fit into the stereotypes of their sex and feel the inescapable societal pressure to find another archetype that they must fit into instead.
In short, fuck you and your personality test

I got INFP on another

I'm either a logical thinker who is really into art and expressive shit or an artist who thinks logically too much.

related to the autism thing, I'm an intj who has known and fit in with autistic social groups all my life. i was never diagnosed, but i always took the tests/talked to therapists in a way that would make sure i wouldn't be diagnosed. to be honest i couldn't be sure if i am or not. generally I'm methodical and domineering except when or comes to approaching women. i always psyche myself out. (that's not to say i haven't had gf's, I've just dated less than other guys my age)

any other intj feel this? everything is easy as shit except romance.
