Yeah we had grid paper too and of course rulers. I saw some plasticky looking geometry kits at a dollar store a while back and asked myself whether the old school tools were still being used with the advent of matlab and full computerization everywhere.

I really need to get a chalk board mounted in my room. I used to have one as a kid, and I think I could really use one now.

>>7121138
Why would you even want to program your calculator?
You don't need to use them for projectors anymore since every classroom has a computer projector and you can just put up grapher files.

How good is the solar cell on the TI-36x Pro? I tried using a 36x Solar II for a while after my original 36x Solar I broke but the solar cell was absolutely terrible (either that or the calculator itself just drew more power). I could barely use indoors unless it was under really bright lighting and overall it just sucked. I bought another 36x Solar I off of amazon and have been skeptical of TI's "overhauls" ever since.

The wiki page's description of the TI-36x Pro also makes it sound fairly questionable.

The solar cell has always worked fine for me. I teach calc and recommend it to all my students, and I've only heard good things from them about it.

I've never experienced the mentioned programming bugs, although I never check my calculator's math that carefully.

I own a computer with grapher and mathematica on it. Why would I ever want to fuck around with a brick from the 1990's? I get that you guys take your calculators seriously, but don't act like that's a universal thing.
