I simply cannot study computer science because I am too intelligent. Descending to such a low level is impossible for me, because my mind has a built-in defence mechanism against neckbearded anti-intellectualism.

There are people who need a university degree to learn how to use a computer?

They say bullshit like

When in reality what they do is
>we let you share pictures of your cats and iced coffees!

You're actually autistic, aren't you? No shit maths majors would learn more in depth math than computer science majors, since one literally focuses on maths and the other doesn't. But if you're implying graduate school in computer science does even a fair amount code monkey business then you're hilariously mistaken. Applied maths graduates does more coding than computer science graduates.

And here we have a prime example of the CS retard exhibiting its natural reproductive rituals. The CS retard uses grandiose claims to attract others to join its useless and overhyped field, thus perpetuating its existence. This remarkable adaptation has allowed the retards to flourish in massive numbers since they can say virtually anything tangentially related to technology, despite having no knowledge of the subject matter, all while still superficially sounding intelligent.

Next time on Mutual of Omaha, we track a herd of these CS retards as they attempt to decide on how many javascript frameworks to use.

how can a bunch of idiots ( who aren't writing their own code ) chatterboxing the same ideas around be 'grandiose', 'flourish' or sound intelligent? Choosing a 'framework' doesn't even mean anything - if you mean a library then you're referred to a set of tools, and picking your tools before using them is the wrong way to code anyways.

>> No.7055559

>>7055548
I'm referring to how people like Zuckerberg, Page, et. al are basically the technological equivalent of child actors on the Disney Channel telling little children to "follow their dreams and become a pop singer." Computer science mainly produces widely publicized and well known products like websites, mobile applications, etc. Just like how we have all these impressionable kids wanting to become sitcom actors because of their exposure to television, now we also have hordes of people thinking that making websites is the most important thing in the universe because of their exposure to the internet. Worse, because these people are in a loosely "technical" field, politicians bend over backwards to make sure every last little boy and girl ends up making apps and websites because 'murica needs those good technology jobs, dammit!

>Choosing a 'framework' doesn't even mean anything - if you mean a library then you're referred to a set of tools, and picking your tools before using them is the wrong way to code anyways.

I'm not strictly speaking about politics. Computer science has gotten so huge because of the fact that it's extremely conducive network growth effects, not because it's actually useful or has done anything really important. We're wasting our brightest minds and vast sums of financial resources on useless bullshit, and that's what I'm mad about.
