How would you rank college majors based on student intelligence?

In terms of ancient Greece no. In terms of modern day usage and getting a well paying job, yeah it's dumb as shit. Philosophy is shit tier liberal arts down with Gender Studies. Coming from a pre-law student.

Pre-anything is same tier as arts imo
Wait until you are in second year to claim it

Some modern philosophy is actually pretty good. Particularly 20th century Political Philosophy and Ethics. Aesthetics are bullshit anyway and Epistemology/Metaphysics was good a millennia ago, but now attracts "hurr yu cannoth now knophing durr" fags only.

1. Theoretical Physics majors
2. Mathematics majors
3. Applied Physics/Applied Math
4. Engineers (Chem = Electric > Computer > MechE = Aerospace > Civ)
5. Chem majors, offshoots of chem majors
6. Bio shit
7. Pre med
8. Pre law
9. Soft sciences
10. Humanities

>How would you rank college majors based on student intelligence?

I wouldn't because the practicing specialty/application is more inductive to their possible intelligence than the major itself as a whole.

For instance do you think the intelligence of the average person who goes into Surveying is the same as the average person who goes into Structural Engineering within the field of Civil Engineering?

What about in Foreign language? Is the person who specializes in Spanish the same as someone who specializes in Japanese?

Same goes for the Arts and Music where the specialty could range from painting and single instrument play to computer animation and musical theatre do you believe they're all the same?

Not that should it matter since you should do what you want to do instead of what the masses want. Assuming you care about passion of the craft more than economic security.

Eventually you will wind up working for someone who went to Hardvard/Yale/Princeton and majored in music or art history.

My dork friend (MIT) hated Wall St because he could not handle being the office bitch for for an Ivy League girl.

This thread is so pretentious, there are some dumb as rocks people in every major who get in just cause they heard it had money in it and just to say, "Hey I'm an engineer/math major respeck me" and the latter applies to a good portion of this board.
