My bad its x + 7/4x = 66

>> No.6949481

>>6949453
x + 7/4x = 66
x * 4x + 7 = 66 * 4x
4xx - 264x + 7 = 0
x = (264 (+-) sqrt(264*264 - 4*4*7)) / 8
There you go OP, have a nice day!

why didn't you just do (7/4+1)x=66

because muh parenthesis
7/4x =/= 7x/4

is it x+ (7/4)x = 66
or x+ 7/(4x) = 66?

First way, x= (4/4)x so 11x/4 = 66 and x = (66*4)/11

Second way 4x^2-264x+7 = 0, use quadratic formula.

This board is not for homework help.
Also, are you 12 or just retarded?

It excludes negative hearts from its domain, which is pretty useful if you ask me.

x + 7/4x = 66
(7+4x^2)/4x = 66
7+4x^2 = 264x

4x^2 - 264x + 7 = 0

abc-formula
